Nini Shvelidze

Nini Shvelidze is a Tbilisi-based film researcher, curator, and programmer. She is a PhD candidate in Cultural Studies and an invited lecturer in Film Studies. She is a member of the European Film Academy and Co-Founder and Vice-President of FIPRESCI Georgia.

Her work focuses on film research, criticism, festival programming, and international cultural collaboration. She has served as an international jury member at 11 film festivals across Europe, Asia, the MENA region, and the United States.

Nini is a programmer and curator at CinExpress, a Georgian platform dedicated to Georgian and world cinema, where she develops thematic programs and retrospectives.

She coordinates the Nordic-Baltic Film Festival in Tbilisi; Works as Film Programmer & Curator for the Nepal International Film Festival. She is also a Pre-Selection Committee Member for the Ramsgate International Film & TV Festival.

Nini is the Author and Project Lead of the Tbilisi Interactive Map, an interdisciplinary initiative exploring the connections between Georgian cinema, urban memory, cultural heritage, and digital technologies.
