“The FIPRESCI jury awards its prize to a film that has given a voice to young girls. Through outstanding performances and striking images shot in 16 mm, it explores how ambition and discipline can slip into coercition and abuse, with a restrained but deeply unsettling approach. For these reasons, the Fipresci have decided to give the prize to Broken Voices, by Ondrej Provaznik.”
