Durban Talent Press supports emerging film critics from across Africa through a ten-week online mentoring program. Participants attend the Durban FilmMart and engage in meetings with film professionals from more than 60 countries, as well as Q&A sessions during Durban International Film Festival screenings. Founded in 2007 as a partnership between the Durban International Film Festival and Berlinale Talents, the initiative has been operated by the Durban FilmMart Institute since 2019. FIPRESCI provides mentors and professional support to alumni beyond the duration of the program.
