Giuseppe Schillaci

Giuseppe Schillaci is an Italian documentary filmmaker and writer, born in Palermo in 1978 and based in Paris. He co-directed The Cambodian Room (2009), which won the Special Jury Prize at the Torino Film Festival. His documentaries include Cosmic Energy Inc. (2011), Apolitics Now! (2013), Il Modernissimo di Bologna (2022), Bosco Grande (2024), and Auber 89 (2026). His work has screened at international festivals including Venice, IDFA, and Hot Docs. He is also the author of the novels L’anno delle ceneri and L’età definitiva, and an editor of the Italian literary website Nazione Indiana.
