Mima Simic is a Croatian film critic, gender theorist and a feminist and LGBT activist. She is currently vice president of the Croatian Association of Film Critics. For her book of essays on film Hollywood Proof — Essays in Deconstruction of the Dream Factory in 2009 she received the Vladimir Vukovic Award for best Croatian film critic. Her work has been published in many Croatian, as well as international publications — magazines, books and online, as well as on Croatian Radio-Television.
