Asiya Baigozhina

Assiya Baigozhina (Kazakhstan) is a journalist by first training and filmmaker by second profession. After graduation from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors in Moscow worked as editor-in-chief of the association of documentary films at Kazakhfilm. In the early 1990s head of independent youth studio Parallel. She worked at the film studio, then for TV and print mass-media. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Zhurgenov National Academy of Arts, with a workshop on documentary direction.
