Zhang Da lei was born in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and graduated from St. Petersburg National Cinema and Television University in Russia. He has made a few shorts, and “The Summer Is Gone” is his first feature.(Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, 2016)
