Rio 2024

Talents Rio is a professional training initiative promoted by the Rio Festival, in conjunction with the Goethe-Institut and the Berlinale Talents. This program, created in 2003, has become one of the pillars of the Berlin International Film Festival, bringing together hundreds of professionals from different areas every year for a series of training activities.

Since 2016, Rio de Janeiro has been the stage for one of the international expansions of the Berlinale Talents, with a specific focus on training critics. For the 2024 edition, Talents Rio returns expanded, with new supporters and areas of activity.

In this new phase, the criticism program expands to include two new sections, considered strategic and of great importance for cinema and audiovisual in Brazil: Audience Design and Preservation.

In addition to the Goethe-Institut, a partner since the first edition, Talents Rio now has the support of Samambaia.org, Open Society and Projeto Paradiso.
