With over 35 years of experience, Stockholm International Film Festival continues to explore and promote the great directors of tomorrow and is established as one of the leading film festivals in Europe. Founded in 1990 by a group of film enthusiasts, Stockholm International Film Festival has evolved to become one of the major annual cultural events in Sweden. Previous guests include Francis Ford Coppola, Lauren Bacall, Claire Denis, Wong Kar-wai, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Andrea Arnold, David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino. Last year’s edition of the festival was uniquely dedicated to David Lynch and his profound and lasting effect on cinema history: Lynch’s iconic classic ‘Wild at Heart’ opened the very first edition of the festival in 1990. Last year’s guests included Benny Safdie, Isabella Rossellini, Mascha Schilinski and Alexander Skarsgård. Our jury of three will focus on the “Open Zone”/”Masters” program.
