Reminder General Assembly 2019
General Assembly 2019
Tuesday, September 17, in Miskolc, Hungary
This is a reminder to appoint the delegates to our General Assembly. If you informed us already about your representative, you do of course not need to react.
We wish to remind you that we are invited to hold our annual General Assembly at the »16th CineFest – Miskolc International Film Festival« in the Hungarian city of Miskolc. (Date of the Festival: September 13-21, 2019.)
After years of a successful collaboration with »BIF&ST – the Bari International Film Festival« (every spring in southern Italy), FIPRESCI has now changed the location of the General Assembly to Miskolc, an equally attractive destination in Hungary.
As the festival covers a limited number of invitations (hotel), we kindly urge you to confirm the participation of your delegate not later than Monday, July 29, 2019 (send to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org). Applications arriving after this date can from statuary reason not be accepted. The list of participants/delegates will be forwarded to the festival, for further arrangements. Colleagues who need a visa to enter Hungary can count on the festival’s support.
Miskolc does not only host a successful film festival (programmed by our esteemed colleague Géza Csákvári), but is situated in an attractive region surrounded by forests and castles, only two hours away from Budapest.
Our delegates will be hosted for two nights (the nights of 16 and 17 September). The invitation may exceptionally be exceeded to three nights, due to the flight connections. The official duties for the delegates (the assembly) is scheduled for September 17, 2019.
As always, all participants are in charge of their transportation / air ticket. Colleagues who wish to attend the screenings and cover the festival in their publication should get accredited to festival. Further information about the festival: https://www.cinefest.hu/?lang=en
The preliminary schedule:
September 16, Monday – Arrival. Transfer from the Budapest Airport to Miskolc will be provided by CineFest.
September 17, Tuesday – General assembly, in the morning (9.30-13.00) and afternoon (14.00-18.00). Lunch catering will kindly be provided by Cinefest. There will be a dinner reception in the evening.
September 18, Wednesday – Departure. Transfer from Miskolc to Budapest Airport will be provided by CineFest.
