Cannes 2015: Critics Prize to “Masaan”
The FIPRESCI Prize for a film in the section “Un Certain Regard” went to “Masaan” by Neeraj Ghaywan (India, France, 2015, 103 min).
Motivation: “Neeraj Ghaywan’s ‘Masaan’ dealing with the tensions between ancient and modern India through interlinked tales of love, loss, grief, corruption and traditions in turmoil, marks an impressive, ambitious and engaging feature film debut.”
