Marco Bellocchio Wins Critics Prize in Venice

At the 72nd Venice International Film Festival (September 2-12, 2015) the critics jury of FIPRESCI presented two prizes.
Prize, International Competition: “Blood of My Blood” (Sangue del mio sangue) by Marco Bellocchio (Italy, France, Switzerland, 2015, 107 min).
Prize, Parallel sections: “Wednesday, May 9” (Chaharshanbeh, 19 Ordibehesht) by Vahid Jalilvand (Iran, 2015, 102 min, shown in “Horizons”).
French critic Michel Ciment headed the jury as its president. Jury members were Ninos Feneck Mikelides, Greece (“Eleftherotypia”), Gianlorenzo Franzi, Italy (“Rivista del Cinematografo”), Lesley Chow, Australia (“Brigh Lights Film Journal”), Quirijn Foeken, The Netherlands (“BiosAgenda.nl”), Ezio Leoni, Italy (“mcmagazine.it”).
