For Dennis Vetter seeing the world through film has always been a necessary process. His writing seeks to explore this relationship. In 2013 he became a board member of the German Film Critics Association. With his colleagues he published the Pamphlet for Activist Film Criticism. He is a co-founder of the online publication NEGATIV and has been closely involved with the Japanese Film Festival Nippon Connection.
