Elli Mastorou

Born in Athens in 1986, Elli Mastorou studied Art History and Cinema between Brussels (ULB) and Paris (Université Paris X Nanterre). After graduating she has been working since 2012 as a freelance film critic for French-speaking print press in Belgium. Regular clients include national newspapers L’Avenir and Metro Belgium, and the national edition of women’s monthly Marie-Claire. Writings include a university thesis on Wes Anderson’s cinema and a publication on Emile Zola’s film adaptations. She has been a FIPRESCI jury member for Message to Man Festival in Saint Petersburg (2017), Cannes film festival (2018) and BAFICI Buenos Aires Independent Film Festival (2019).
