Photographer and director of documentaries, feature films and music videos. Born in 1975 in Bratislava. He graduated in photography from an applied arts secondary school in 1994 and in documentary film direction from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in 2000. He has made several short documentaries. His first feature-length film, the documentary “Blind Loves” (2008), premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight section at Cannes. The film was also Slovakia’s candidate for an Oscar. His debut feature film was “Miracle” in 2013. “Nina” (2017), his second feature film, had its international premiere at the Toronto film festival.
