Letícia Alassë

Letícia Alassë is a French-Brazilian journalist, researcher, and film critic based in Paris. Since 2016, she has worked as an international correspondent and film critic for CinePOP and is also an International Voter for the Golden Globes. A member of FIPRESCI and Abraccine, she regularly covers major international film events, including Cannes, Berlin, Toronto, and Rio, and serves on festival juries around the world, including the El Gouna Film Festival in Egypt, the International Author Film Festival in Rabat, Morocco, and Amman International Film Festival in Jordan.
She holds a degree in Social Communication from Fluminense Federal University (UFF), Brazil, and a Master’s degree in Culture and Communication from Paris 8 University, France. Her research explores the intersections of discourse analysis, psychoanalysis, and film criticism, with a particular focus on the European gaze on cinema from the Global South.
