Lisa van der Waal

Lisa van der Waal is a Dutch film journalist who writes for frame.land, cine.nl and filmtotaal.nl. Following her Master’s degree in Film Studies and Visual Culture, she took part in several film critic workshops, among others a summer school on Michelangelo Antonioni organised by De Filmkrant and the GoCritic! workshop at Animafest Zagreb. Besides this, she reviews films for a local radio station and is a board member of a local cinema. In the last two years, she has been a member of several KNF-juries (Dutch branch of FIPRESCI) and the FIPRESCI-jury at DOKLeipzig and Thessaloniki International
Film Festival.
