Mohamed Nabil

Film Critic, Egypt

Mohamed Nabil is an Egyptian journalist and film critic with academic training in mass communication, journalism, and professional film criticism. He is a member of both the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate and the Egyptian Film Critics Association.

Since 2010, he has been a contributor to Al Kawakeb magazine, where he currently serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief. He also heads the Entertainment Department at the Egyptian news platform Sada El Balad.

He has expanded his work beyond print journalism, serving as a consultant for several television series, contributing to a range of television and radio programs, and collaborating with different festivals.

Nabil serves as the Programmer of Arab Films at the Cairo International Film Festival, where he is also the Director of the Horizons of Arab Cinema Competition.

Nabil has also played a significant role in the development of the Alexandria Short Film Festival, where he headed the press office for seven years before assuming his current position as the festival’s Artistic Advisor.
