Teresa Vena

Teresa Vena studied art history, history and Spanish philology in Geneva. She now lives in Berlin and works as a curator in the fields of fine arts and film. As a film critic, she has been writing for various online and print media such as NZZ am Sonntag, Berlin Film Festivals or Filmbulletin for years. She has initiated several thematic film series and festivals, such as Prachtige Films!, about films from the Netherlands or Flanders, or the only festival in Germany dedicated to films from Switzerland, Film:Schweiz. As a member of FIPRESCI, she has taken part in various international festivals such as Locarno, Berlin and Mar del Plata as part of the jury. Her main areas of interest and research include films from Asia, Latin America and Europe.
