The Economic Crisis Through A Kid's Eyes

in 16th Motovun International Film Festival

by Davor Pavlovic

The competition program of the Motovun film festival 2013 was like a “bosnian pot” (a meal which includes every kind of vegetable). The twelve movies in competion had nothing common except their diversity. They represented all kinds of genres, from all over the world, with many different topics. There were some Sundance titles, a comedy from France, one very interesting documentary from India, a Spanish film about imigrants, etc.

One movie that stood out was The Daughter (I Kori) by Greek film director Thanos Anastopoulos. This is his third feature film.
