Original title: Zyklon Portrait

Motivation:
“Through the juxtaposition of scientific, personal and poetic images the film achieves a rare level of accomlishment, distilling the Holocaust experience in a fesh and meaningful way. With water as a metaphor uniting the disparate elements of the work, the sense of loss occasioned by the Holocaust is a evoked and summarized by a single memorabla shot: a young girl sitting on a beach, and a sea moving beyond her.”
