She holds a PhD and a master’s degree from the Graduate Program in Communication and Contemporary Culture at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), and a doctoral degree in Media Studies from Philipps-Universität Marburg. She specializes in TV Directing for Teledramaturgy from CAL (Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras). She holds a degree in Performing Arts, with an emphasis on Theatrical Interpretation, from the Federal University of Bahia, and a degree in Social Communication, with an emphasis on Journalism, from the Social University of Bahia. Since 2015, she has been a member of research groups such as the Audiovisual Product Analysis Study Group (GRUPA-UNIP) and the German group Method Labs, the Methods Laboratory of AG Participations- und Fan Studies. She conducts research in the following areas: fan studies, reception and consumption, gender and sexuality, and fan activism. She is a voting member of the Golden Globe Awards, and since 2017, she has served on juries and curators at film festivals such as the Festival du Noveau Cinéma de Montréal, Mostra Lugar de Mulher é no Cinema, Festival de Cinema Baiano (FECIBA), Munich Film Festival, CinePe, and Festival International du Court Métrage au Saguenay. She is a member of ABRACCINE (Brazilian Association of Film Critics) and Fipresci (International Federation of Film Critics). Since 2014, she has worked as a communications consultant in the cultural sector, working with events, audiovisual works, and production companies. Since 2014, she has written audiovisual criticism for the websites Coisa de Cinéfilo and Aratu On. She is a press officer for the Institute of Educational Broadcasting of Bahia (IRDEB).
