Jérôme d’Estais is the Berlin correspondent of the French magazine La Septième Obsession. He also writes from time to time for the magazines Silhouette, Ciné-Bazar or L’Ouroboros as for the websites Critikat or critic.de- He has published several essays on Jean Eustache, Andrzej Zulawski, Barbet Schroeder, Jeff Nichols, Hal Hartley, Kathryn Bigelow, Ira Sachs or Leos Carax. His latest essay is a History of French Cinema and a New Politics of Actors. In 2022, he was member of the Fipresci jury during the IFFMH.
