Motivation for the film critic’s prize: “For how it manages to combine a personal story with the tragedy of the civil war in the former Yugoslavia. Cinematographically compelling, “Scenes with my father” is staged in a state of dreamlike transition, between the traumas of the past and the uncertainty of the present. It is a multi-layered film, addressing the functional and therapeutic nature of documentary and originally and intimately approaching a refugee family”.
