In My Father’s Room by
Maha Harada,
(Japan, 2026, 109 min)
Motivation: “A film that elevates sensitivity and connection through poetry and artistic expression, exploring a father-daughter relationship that transcends time, death, and distance. A debut feature that upholds the discovery and awareness of one’s own origins. Through a minimalist approach, In My Father’s Room transforms absence into presence and transformation”.
This festival has become one of the highlights of the international festival circuit, mostly due to its well-selected program and retrospectives. FIPRESCI awards its Grand Prix for Best Film of the Year during the festival’s opening ceremony. Our three member jury, one from Spain and two international, will focus on the International competition.
