Hosam Mostafa Fahmy

Hosam Fahmy is an Egyptian film critic and cinema journalist, started his journalistic career while he was still a medical student and continued it as he graduated to be a psychiatrist based in Berlin, Germany.
Besides his cooperation with various publications, among them the Film magazine which is a specialized cinematic magazine published in Egypt, he also serves as Editor in Chief of the Art section at Ida2at.com. Hosam is a member of the Egyptian film critics association. He recently joined FIPRESCI and was appointed by the international federation of film critics to be a jury member for Berlinale 2023.
