Matus Kvasnicka

In 2002, he earned a degree in film studies from the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. During his studies, he occasionally contributed to several periodicals, including the film monthly Film.sk and the weekly magazine Kultúrny život. In 2003, he began working at the daily newspaper Pravda, writing about music and film. From 2012, he served as head of Pravda’s culture department. He left the newspaper in the summer of 2019. Since November 2019, he has served as editor-in-chief of Film.sk, a monthly magazine focused on Slovak cinema, which was transformed into the online film portal Filmsk.sk in 2024.
