Selina Hangartner

Selina Hangartner is a film critic, and co-editor-in-chief of the Swissgerman film magazine «Filmbulletin», as well as a doctoral candidate in the Film Studies Department at the University of Zurich. In 2021, she’s FIPRESCI-jury member in Locarno and jury member at the Zürcher Filmpreis. In her work she’s interested in irony and the grotesque, in comedy and horror. For her dissertation she has visited UC Berkeley as a «guest researcher» in 2017. She’s published articles and a book on irony, kitsch.
