Tina Bernik

Tina Bernik is a film critic from Slovenia, with a degree in Classical Philology and Slovene Language and Literature from the University of Ljubljana. Currently she works as a correspondent from Zagreb for the Slovenian Press Agency (STA), covering a wide range of topics from the Western Balkans, and as a journalist for Dnevnik, where she specializes in film and television.

In the past, she mainly worked as a freelance film critic and journalist for Ekran, a monthly magazine focused on film and television, where she also served as a member of the editorial board. She was also a journalist for the weekly magazine Vklop, covering film and TV topics, including international film festivals.

She regularly attends smaller regional film festivals, particularly across the former Yugoslav region, where she works as a film journalist, critic, and observer of regional cinema. Her interests span both art-house cinema and television formats, with a particular focus on broader cultural context of each work.
