Tommaso Tocci

Currently based between Rome and Paris, Tommaso Tocci works as a critic and film journalist. In his native Italy he writes for Mymovies.it, while at the same time he is active on the international festival circuit and has been published in outlets around the world, among them Indiewire, Ioncinema, RogerEbert.com, CinemaScope, Filmmaker Magazine, Montages and Filmkrant. Since 2017 he is a member and part of the steering committee for the International Cinephile Society. For FIPRESCI he has served on various juries including the Venice Film Festival, and he has been leading the FIPRESCI Critics Project at the Warsaw Film Festival since 2018. Throughout his career he has worked for multiple festivals, including the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Berlinale Talents, Giornate degli Autori in Venice, and the Pordenone Silent Film Festival. He also served as the main programmer for the Saas-Fee FilmFest and translated extensively for film, TV, festivals and books.
