Turkish media and film industry is shaken by the untimely loss of renowned film critic Cüneyt Cebenoyan. He passed away at a car accident on the 3rd of August in Central Anatolia. He worked for the magazines “Roll” and “Express”, for “CNN Turk Channel”, and he made programs for “Acik Radyo”. He had as well been the film critic of the daily newspaper “Birgün” ever since its foundation. As an outspoken left wing cultural and political figure, Cüneyt Cebenoyan’s social critic was as controversial as were his film reviews.
