Anna Maria Osmólska-Metrak

born in Warsaw (1958), literary and cinema critic and interpreter of Italian literature (Moravia, Magris, Eco, Tabucchi, Pasolini). Professor at the Department of Italian Linguistics and Literature of the University of Warsaw. Since 1995 organizer and jury member in Krzysztof Mętrak competition for young movie critics. In constant collaboration with the International Film Festival New Horizons in Wrocław (P.P. Pasolini, M. Antonioni, and F. Fellini retrospectives), with the Italian Culture Institute in Warsaw (annual review of Italian films “Cinema Italia Oggi”) and with polish media (radio, television, press).
2006 – jury member in a screenplay contest, organized in co-production by Polish Filmmakers Association and Giffoni Film Festival.
2009 – jury member at the TV Film Festival “Goldenchest” in Plovdiv (Bulgaria)
2015 – Fipresci jury member at the 16 Festival del Cinema Europeo, Lecce
2016 – Fipresci jury member at the 15 New Horizons Film Festival, Wrocław
