José Solís
Film Critic, Honduras
José Solís is a Honduran cultural critic based in Madrid, Spain. His work appears in The New York Times, American Theatre, Salon, Backstage, TDF Stages, and The National Catholic Reporter, among others. In 2020 he was selected as the Floria Lasky Visiting Artist at Hunter College and created the BIPOC Critics Lab, a training program for cultural critics that has been hosted by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Stratford Festival, and the Public Theater. In 2021 he was named one of the Kennedy Center’s “Next 50.” He is also the creator and host of Token Theatre Friends.
