Gerhard Midding
Film Critic, Germany
Gerhard studied journalism, literature, theatre and art history in Münster and Berlin. As a freelance film journalist living in Berlin, he reports on the world’s cinematography for numerous daily and weekly newspapers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (e.g. “Die Welt”, “Berliner Zeitung”, “falter”, “Freitag”), film magazines (“epd film”, “Ray”), and online editions of “Die Zeit”. He also writes the blog “epd film”. His interest is focused on film history, and one of his great dreams is to find Imre Pressburger’s lost film “I’d rather have cod-liver oil”.
