Marcelo Janot

Marcelo Janot has been a Brazilian journalist and movie critic since 1992. He served as president of the Rio de Janeiro Film Critics Association (ACCRJ), the first Brazilian FIPRESCI section, from 2003 to 2006. He has worked for the Telecine cable TV channel and is currently a movie critic for O Globo newspaper and the editor-in-chief of the website Criticos.com.br. He is also a teacher of film theory and has recently written and directed a documentary TV series about Brazilian film composers for the Curta! TV channel.
